Abundance in Central Mexico

Abundance was the theme of an afternoon walk this week. July in Central Mexico is full of fruit and flowers and insects. It is the rainy season and vegetation really takes off in mid-July. It seemed everywhere we looked trees were heavy with avocados and peaches and apples. Every flowering plant was in bloom and the butterflies were sprinkled throughout fields and flowering bushes.

We walked slowly and observed all of the beauty and even picked peaches to eat on the way. The sky grew cloudy and cool air rolled in with the thunder but we didn’t get rain until our 6 mile walk was at it’s end.
