Wild Orchids

Here in central Mexico the trees are full of orchids. Indigenous folk hike the woods to collect them and sell them in the market and around town. We hike the woods a lot and spot many varieties high in the trees above us. Collecting them has become a hobby and we have had 25-30 different types blooming in the house and on our balcony. Some are no larger than a fingernail. The miniature orchids are harder to find but what a treasure when you do find one. Here are a few photos of the orchids we have had over the years.
